Healthy Snacks for Summer by #CSadventure

We always want our summer to be perfect, we bought the best bikini, reserve the best hotel and enjoy sunny days playing, drinking and eating with friends at the beach. But what happens with all these hours spent in the gym and sticking to the perfect diet to look great in your swimsuit?

Don’t worry about it, here I’ll give you some tips to eat healthy at the beach, and stay in shape even without going to the gym.

What about starting with delicious zucchini chips? These are the best substitute for traditional and unhealthy potato chips. You just need to cut slim slices of fresh zucchini and let them dry in the oven for about 6 hours with less than 60° C, or even you can get one of these electronic dryers. When the chips are ready you can add some pepper and low-sodium salt to add some flavor. The best is that you can prepare it before you travel and pack it in a zip-bag or an airtight container for days.

Another practical healthy snack is to make small cucumber sandwiches, just cut slices and use them instead bread and add some turkey ham, lettuce, tomato and cheese, if you prefer you can replace the cucumber for some lettuce leaves or zucchini slices, the combinations are endless.

When we are on vacation, we always wake up late and in a hurry to go out to the pool or the beach, but before putting on your bikini, you have to take your breakfast and with this easy recipe you can take a complete one within minutes.  First, you need to soak 1 cup of oats with water overnight in the refrigerator. In the morning, preheat the oven to 375°F, drain the water and mix in a bowl with nuts, seeds and dry fruits like raisins, add cinnamon and salt. In another bowl, beat two eggs with milk and peanut butter. Mix dry ingredients to wet and put it into small muffin cups, you can add some apple at the top. Cook for 20 minutes and the breakfast is ready, is a great energy font of the day and are healthy snacks for summer because you can preserve them for at least 3 days.

Maybe you think all the healthy snacks for summer are boring, but there are some fantastic and fun ideas too, how about making some popsicles with fresh fruit? or some fruit skewer a nontraditional way to eat fresh fruits in a fun way?

And for the hot days at the beach don’t forget the cold smoothies; you can use any fruit you prefer. Just use your imagination and great taste! Berries, oranges, watermelon… The mixes are infinitive, just add some ice and use stevia or sucralose instead traditional sugar.
